1. Leave a comment saying you want to be interviewed.
2. I'll reply and give you five questions to answer.
3. You'll update your LJ with the five questions answered.
4. You'll include this explanation.
5.You ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.

This is good practice for me, for work. Yeah, that's it...
1) What brought you into the world of Ren Faire(s)
The trunk of a grey 1980 Ford Grenada. Seriously. Two friends from high school were going (we were all out of HS at this point) and they were camping. At the time, it was very hard to sneak someone onto the campgrounds, so just before pulling in, I climbed into the trunk. That's right -- I DID camp, at faire, exactly once. Princess found herself a hotel room shortly thereafer.
#2 is a long one )
3) What is your biggest pet peeve?
I have lots, of course, but my biggest is guy friends, in two parts. First is when they stop being friends with you as soon as they realize that you are never going to have sex with them; second is when they stop being friends with you as soon as you have a boyfriend or --gods forbid -- when you get married. This pisses me off NO END.

4) You can live anywhere in the world you'd like...where is that (why)?
This is a tough one....Ideally, money being no object, I'd have four houses and split my time. An old Victorian in New York State, with lots of land. A beach house in Hutchinson Island, FL, with a wide expanse of private beach. A flat or small row house in the Crouch End section of London, UK, a place I have been exactly once and LOVED. A house with a private pool in Orlando, near my family.

5)Name one item/place you hold dear (why)?
Ringwood State Park. I used to ride my bike there when I was a kid and it's where I learned to ride a two-wheeler. I love the two manor houses on the property, the old graveyard, the grounds, the tennis courts. I love everything about it.
1. How do you think Eddie Van Halen has aged?
Badly. My poor once-darling one is clearly showing the effects of years of alcohol abuse. Though, to be honest, I think I was only ever attracted to him because of his minor resemblance to you-know-who.

2. When did you and SubG actually become a couple? (I get fuzzy on the details)
October 28, 1998. By phone.

3. What is your favorite Happy Bunny saying and why?
Cute but Psycho: things even out. It's just so me.

4. If you could be the best at any writing genre what would it be?
I'd like to bring obscure subjects to the masses in an interesting way. Like write a true best-seller on Victorian ghost stories or the folklore behind Voodoo.

5. Would you really have burned that notebook?
Not as long as he didn't actually snap the disk. If he had, I might well have done.
1. What attracts you to writing?
It's a compulsion, not an attraction. I have always done it. Always. Also, I suffer from the delusion that people care about what I think and my opinions on things, and this is a great way to share with the masses. ;)

2. Why didn't you pursue a career in music?
Fear and practicality. When I was younger, mainly practicality. I would never have been able to do what it really takes to "make it" -- lots of BS jobs and shitty apartments, waiting for the big break. It's not in me. Now it's more about fear. I am afraid I am not as good as I think I am, or that I will freeze solid once I am on a stage with a microphone in my hand.

3. What is your favorite comfort food?
Depends. Pizza, chicken parm, cupcakes with whipped cream icing, ice cream cake -- those are big ones.

4. You find out you can never have biological children. Do you remain childless? Adopt? Surrogate?
I think I would remain childless, but I also think I would seriously look into adoption first. But my gut says I would take the hand nature dealt me with as much grace as I could manage, and then go on with my life.

5. If you could hire one employee what would their job be?
Personal Assistant. I need one. Desperately.
Email me with your number, please. Need to give you a call.
1. I know that you knew David long before you two got together. When did you know David was "the one?"
I think I always knew, but his age freaked me out too much to really admit it -- remember, when we first became close friends, he was only 15 years old. Also, something told me the timing was wrong for a long time. When it was right, though, it hit me like a ton of bricks. So I called him. And the rest is history.

2. What was the first Broadway play you ever saw? The last?
First was Phantom of the Opera, with my best friend at the time (I assume you are talking actually ON Broadway); last was Boy from Oz, with CaAmethyst

3. Have you ever been in a fistfight? Did you win?
Yes. Yes, usually.

4. What pet from your past do you miss the most?
Chip, my labrador. He was just the best dog.

5. What are you reading right now?
40 Words for Sorrow -- a crime thriller
Our Ladies of Darkness -- a study on the feminine in Gothic fiction
The Devil Wears Prada -- which I actually just remembered I was reading when I found it under the bed.

Soon I will be reading -- ok, listening to -- The Supernaturalists by Eoin Colfer, the author of the Artemis Fowl series (Harry Potter age group -- great books). It's a nice plus that it's by an author I actually read, as I originally ordered the book on CD because it's read by my latest TV boyfriend, Jack Davenport. I would happily listen to Jack Davenport read the phone book or even a mathematics textbook, as long as he kept talking. The fact that this happens to be a book I likely would have read anyway makes it win-win!
